Ahmedabad, Nov 22: The runway of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International airport here remained closed for almost an hour on Thursday as an aircraft was stuck up due to technical snag.

Keeping aircraft safety requirements in to consideration, landing of four flights were diverted, Airport Director Manoj Gangal said.
The flights diverted were ---Go Air Chennai - Ahmedabad to Vadodara, Vistara Delhi- Ahmedabad to Vadodara, Indigo Hyderabad - Ahmedabad to Vadodara, and Spicejet Bengaluru- Ahmedabad to Surat.
The disabled aircraft was towed away at 1100 hrs and after the runway closure for one hour and two minutes, all the diverted flights from Vadodara and Surat landed back, one after another, at Ahmedabad Airport, safely, the Airport Director said. (UNI)
