Panaji, May 20 : Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Social Media Incharge Pratibha Borkar Dhage on Wednesday said that the policy decisions pertaining to education taken by Congress Government headed by Digambar Kamat were continued for last eight years by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and it was the success story of Digambar Kamat regime.
In a statement, she said former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat took all his policy decisions in consultation with experts from various fields. "Today, BJP has continued with his policy decision on Medium of Instructions," she claimed and said former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar should reveal what happened to the Medium of Instructions (MOI) Committee Report which was constituted during his tenure. "Why the report is shelved by BJP," Ms Borkar questioned.
"It is most unfortunate that the "Goa Vision-2035" document prepared by the Committee headed by eminent scientist Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar is shelved by the BJP government after coming to power just because of the said committee was formed by Digambar Kamat," she said. Ms Borkar alleged that Mr Parsekar, who was hiding in mining pits of 80 mining leases, had come out after the present BJP Government rejected the Lokayukta report recommending government to investigate the renewals of 80 mining leases by government and as a gesture of expressing gratitude to the BJP, he had levelled baseless allegations on former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat.
