Panaji, May 16: Three more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Goa, taking the total number of positive cases in the coastal state to 11. In a tweet, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said,"7 people from Goa who had visited Gangapur, Kolkata to deliver Barges were tested at the Mollem Check post upon arrival. Out of these 7 people, 3 people have been tested positive and their samples have been sent for further confirmatory test at Goa Medical College."
"The other 4 individuals have been kept under Institutional quarantine. Our team is working hard to ensure our citizens are safe from #COVID19," he said. Goa was classified as Green Zone by the Centre on May 1, 2020, after no positive cases were reported in the state since April 3, 2020. In the month of March 7 cases of COVID 19 were reported but they had recovered. New cases have started surfacing after May 13, 2020. (UNI)
