Panaji, Oct 18 : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in the presence of Minister for Revenue and Information Technology (IT) Jennifer Monserrate, inaugurated the ‘Goa Business School IT Summit’ (GBSITS) at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukharjee Indoor Stadium, Taleigao, near the city, on Friday.
President, Vibrant Goa Foundation, Rajkumar Kamat, President of Goa Technical Association, Manguirish Salelkar, Director of Goa Institute of Management (GEM), Ajit Parulekar, Dean of Goa Business School, Goa University, Dr Venkatesh Kamat, were present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the objective of GBSITS was to bring together partner institutes from India and abroad for a two-day joint meeting forging new age collaborations in the field of IT.
The students should take benefit of the sessions that were organized and understand the various opportunities that were available in the IT industry, he said, adding it was a sector that would always continue to grow with the new technology and latest innovations at regular intervals.(UNI)
