Panaji, Jul 13 : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday said that ten Congress MLAs were inducted into Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) because state administration was required to be streamlined and everything was done after getting nod of the central leadership of the party.

Speaking to reporters at Raj Bhavan after swearing-in ceromony, the Chief Minister said, 'I would like to tell you that everything has been done according to instructions received by the party's central leadership.' When asked to comment on Goa Forward Party (GFP)'s allegation that BJP did not keep its word on alliance, the Chief Minister said,'I am not accusing anyone. We had to streamline administration.'

He said BJP could not say no to Congress MLAs when they wanted to join the party without any condition. (UNI)
