Parrikar using illness to ‘gain sympathy’: Congress

Panaji, Jan 31 : The Congress in Goa on Thursday accused Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar of using his illness to 'gain sympathy'.

In a tweet, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Spokesperson Sidhanath Buyao said, 'CM @manoharparrikar your leaked letter to @RahulGandhi states that you are fighting with life-threatening illness. So please take rest for better of Gõy Gõykar Gõykarponn.Are you using your illness to gain sympathy?Isn't this Power Hungry politics? @girishgoa.'

On Wednesday there were exchange of words and letters and counter letters between Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

While Goa Chief Minister accused the Congress President of misusing his courtesy visit to him for petty political gains, Mr Gandhi said his visit to the former defence minister was strictly personal and driven by his sympathy for the health condition of the later. (UNI)
