Veg Smoothies 


Try these tasty, quick and healthy Vegetable Smoothies. Adding veges to your smoothies means less of fruit and hence less sugar! Don’t forget to add some Superfood to your Smoothie- Ginger, Chia seeds, Flax seeds, turmeric, etc.

1. Cucumber Ginger Smoothie

This is an excellent Smoothie for weight watchers. It is light and refreshing with thge zing of ginger and mint.

1 cup chopped cucumber

1 lemon juice

½ cup yogurt

1 teaspoon honey

1 inch piece of ginger chopped

A few mint leaves

Blend cucumber and other ingredients together. Pour over ice cubes in a glass.

2. Beetroot Smoothie

This gorgeous looking Smoothie has the goodness of Beets, Bananas, Pineapple and Yogurt. Ideal for a healthy breakfast!

2 medium sized beetroots peeled and chopped

2 bananas chopped

1 cup chopped pineapple

1 cup yogurt

½ cup water

Place all ingredients in a blender and process. Your wonderful looking Smoothie is ready.

3. Green, Green Smoothie

This Spinach Cucumber Smoothie is full of antioxidants, vitamins and fibre. It is dairy free and is an excellent detox drink!

1 cup Spinach

1 cup cucumber chopped

1 apple peeled and chopped

1 avocado chopped

4-5 dates pitted and cut into pieces

1/ cup water

Blend together all the ingredients to get a green Smoothie. If you want it sweeter, then add more dates or a spoon of honey.

The important thing to remember when using Spinach in a Smoothie is to balance the bitterness with sufficient fruits to make it sweet.
