Healthy Fruit Smoothies


Smoothies are tasty and easy to make as they have the wholesomeness of the fruit and protein ingredients. A great way to start a day is with a smoothie. A good Smoothie must have these- something Smooth read fruit [fresh or frozen]; something Flavorsome [like yogurt, fruit juice, Soy/almond milk, coconut water, etc]; and finally the Power Booster [almonds, oats, chia seeds, spirulina, peanut butter, etc]. Blend the ingredients of your choice keeping in mind the color and flavor you want.

Here are three Fruity Smoothie suggestions for you.

1. Green Sip Sip

  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup fresh/ frozen mango
  • 1 banana
  • 3-4 soaked almonds
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Blend the top four ingredients together to a fresh, green Smoothie. Add the lemon juice at the end. Pour into a tall glass and savour your drink!

2. Pink Passion

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 3 peaches cut into pieces/ I banana
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • ½ cup coconut water

Blend together for a delicious pink Smoothie.

3. Pina Colada

  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp shredded coconut

Blend with ice to get this cool Pina Colada. To make a cocktail, add white rum to it. You may want to omit the banana in it.
