1. Apple Crumble
Prep time: 10 mins Cooking time:15mins
Preheat oven to 180 degreesC. Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish. Place apples in prepared dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. In a bowl, cream together sugar and butter. Blend in flour. Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples. Bake in preheated oven 10 to 15 minutes, until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. Serve with custard or ice cream.
2. Apple Chutney
Prep time 15 mins Cooking time: 15 mins
In a pot put grated apple, raisins, water, ginger, chili powder, sugar and cinnamon powder to cook. As the syrup thickens, add the vinegar and stir for a minute. Then remove from flame and allow it to cool.

3.Apple Kheer or Payasam
Prep time 15mins Cooking time: 20mins
Put milk in a pan to boil and simmer. Stir well and allow milk to thicken. Peel and grate apples. Put ghee in a pan and toss in the grated apples and fry lightly on low flame. Soak saffron in a little warm milk. Soak almonds, peel and cut into slivers and set aside. Add the apple to the thickening milk and stir. Next add sugar and keep stirring. Now add cardamom and saffron milk. When the milk has reduced to a thick consistency, remove from flame. Pour into the serving bowl and decorate by garnishing with almond slivers.
