Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna is likely to play the lead role in a movie in which Director Anil Ravipudi is going to wield the megaphone.
The director is a fan of Balayya and was to direct a film titled ‘Rama Rao Garu’ in the past, but the project was later given up. As Balayya’s latest film Ruler was a damp squib in the box office, he is learnt to be looking for a young director with a fresh story. In Balayya’s list of choice Anil Ravupudi, who is one of the successful directors in the Telugu film industry, is on the topmost position.
Aware of the grapevine in the industry, director Ravipudi is enthusiastic to work with his beloved star. Anil Ravipudi’s film, F2: Fun and Frustration, was a runaway hit at the box office. Venkatesh and Varun Tej, who played the lead roles in F2. Considering the success, the director plans a sequel, titled F3 that will hit the theatres for Sankranthi next year and the shooting will begin in August this year.
Anil Ravipudi’s last film release was the Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru, which was also a big hit. Sarileru Neekevvaru was bankrolled jointly by Anil Sunkara, Dil Raju and Mahesh Babu under the banners AK Entertainments, Sri Venkateswara Creations, GMB Entertainment.
Meanwhile, during this coronavirus crisis, Balayaa has contributed Rs.1.25 crore. While, 25 lacs has been given to #CoronaCrisisCharity & 50 lacs each to Telangana & AP Govts.
