Fahadh’s ‘Trance’ gets dream welcome on theatres

Fahadh Faasil-Nazriya Nazim-starring ‘Trance’ has got a dream welcome on theatres in Kerala and abroad on its release day on Thursday, February 21 and the huge turnout of the audience resulted in a gross collection of Rs.3.42 crore on the opening day of its release.

There are two interesting aspects to the movie. First one is the joining together of Fahadh Faasil and his wife and actress Nazriya Nazim joined together in a movie as lead couple after a long hiatus. The duo was last seen in ‘Banglore Days’, a hit movie helmed by Anjali Menon in 2014. The second aspect is the the movie, which marked filmmaker Anwar Rasheed's comeback to direction after a long gap of 8 years.

Trade experts say that the Fahadh Faasil starrer has made an extraordinary opening at the Kerala box office, by making a gross collection of Rs. 3.42 Crores. Trance has also made a share of Rs. 1.56 Crores on the Day 1 of its release. In this way, the Anwar Rasheed movie has made the biggest opening collection of 2020. Makers of the movie believe that the word of mouth publicity will definitely help Trance in the coming days.

The story revolves around the life journey of Viju Prasad, a failed motivational speaker. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the audiences and critics, Trance has reportedly made an excellent opening at the Kerala box office.
