Director of Kangana Ranaut-starrer Panga, Ashwini is on cloud nine as her dream film has got a colletion more than Rs.20 crore with 9 days.
The film also got rave reviews from critics, though struggling to pull crowd to theaters. The film released on January 24 and got a decent start by minting Rs 2.7 crore.
It witnessed a growth in collections during the first weekend by earning Rs 5.61 crore on Saturday and Rs 6.6 crore on Sunday. However, it failed the first Monday test and earned just Rs 1.65 crore. Since then, the film's collections are steady at the box office. Until Thursday, Panga had earned Rs 21.36 crore in total.
Ashwiny, who entered Bollywood with her 2016 release ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ has recently been appreciated by critics for sports-drama ‘Panga’ which featured Kangana Ranaut and Jassie Gill in leading roles. The story depicts the jovial life of a kabaddi player. In the movie, the central character portrayed by Kangana Ranaut is seen making an inspiring comeback to Kabaddi with support from her family and friends. The film also features Neena Gupta and Richa Chaddha in supporting roles.
