Superstar Rajinikanth's Mumbai police commissioner has already stolen the heart of his fans across the world and it reflected in Darbar's box office collection that stood at Rs.150 crore in the first week.

According to a trade expert, Darbar has collected Rs.7.28 crore at the Chennai box office collection in its first weekend.

From Australia, New Zealand also the film collected around 5 crore each. From UK it could collect around Rs.3 crore. From UAE the film collects Rs. 6 crore. From US, around 9.9 crore has been collected in the first weekend.

Darbar has minted good money from Malaysia, UAE, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. World box office is attracting more collection and it is galloping towards Rs. 200 crore.

As an expensive film, Darbar was made on a big budget of Rs. 200. Rajinikanth plays super-cop Aadhithya Arunachalam, who is the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, in Darbar. Actor Suniel Shetty plays the role of Rajinikanth's nemesis in the film, who gives off the idea that if Thalaiva is a super-cop, he is a super-villain. Darbar marks Rajinikanth's first collaboration with director AR Murugadoss.
