Salman Khan's most-awaited film of the year ‘Dabangg 3’ has run into a controversy over a song sequence which allegedly denigrates Hindu sages.

A Hindu outfit, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, has asked the Central Board of Film Certification to refuse the certification of the film. Samiti has claimed that the song ‘Hud Hud’ of ‘Dabangg 3’ has hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu community and has degraded sages.

The song ‘Hud Hud’ shows a group of Hindu sages who shake legs with Salman Khan on the riverbank. Another reason being, Salman Khan in the song can be seen seeking blessing from three characters dressed as the holy trinity - Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma.

The Samiti has questioned about Sadhus dancing with Salman Khan, which according to them is objectionable. A belated controversy may topple the plans of the producers to take the film to the theatres for a Christmas release.

This is not the first time that ‘Dabangg 3’ has been mired in controversies. The trailer of the movie also raked a controversy for showing a few Shivlings covered with wooden planks. It is also said to be a denigration of Hindu belief.

Along with Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Arbaaz Khan will return in lead roles in the third instalment of the series. Meanwhile Saiee Manjrekar and Kichcha Sudeep will be debuting with the popular franchise.
