After the producers association of Malayalam film industry, Kerala Film Producers' Association (KFPA) asking for a compensation of Rs.6-7 crore from actor Shane Nigam as compensation for shelving off three films due to his indiscipline, the actor came out heavily against the KFPA.

In an interview to The News Minute, the Kumbalangi Nights actor said, "I was not the one who complained. I didn't go to any association and complain. 10-15 of them in the association discussed it among them and took the decision and they informed the press. Nobody asked me for my side."

KFPA accused Shane Nigam’s undisciplined behavior of turning up late on the sets of his films. As a result, three films, Veyil, Ullasam and Qurbaani , in which he plays meaty roles were shelved off. To compensate the producers of the movie, KFPA demanded Rs.6-7 Crore from the actor.

M Renjith, President of the Kerala Film Producers' Association (KFPA), also blamed that young actors are causing trouble in film sets as they turn up under the influence of drugs.

A few weeks ago, Shane was blamed by the producer Joby George of ‘Veyil ‘ for breaching of the contract. He was furious to know that Shane had cut his hair before the shooting of the film ended as the character played by Shane needs beard, mustache and long hair. But Shane claimed that the producer issued death threats to his mother and his family.

But, Shane Nigam's mother Sunila, who is also managing the schedule of the actor as a manager, rejected all allegations made by Producers’ body as false. She said, "One day around 9 am, I received a call from Sharath, director of the movie Veyil, blaming that Shane had walked out of the location. I immediately called Shane and he told me that the previous day's shooting had lasted till 2.30 am. He also informed me that the next day shoot was at noon."
