Bollywood star Aamir Khan on Wednesday shared a short video of his upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which is a remake of famous Hollywood movie ‘Forrest Gump’.
The clip is pretty similar to the Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump and shows a feather with a song in the background, “Kya pata hum mein hain kahani ya hain kahani mein hum.”
Aamir Khan shares the video on his Twitter handle saying: “Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum...”
The film has already found headlines as Aamir Khan will be losing 20 kg. The actor has started following a vegetarian diet for the same for his character. Aamir Khan's production in collaboration with Viacom has bought the rights from Paramount and the actor will begin shooting for the film in October this year.
The film which tries to adapt a Hollywood movie into Indian context is considered as a big experiment. If it found success, it will spawn a new trend of from Hollywood to Bollywood’.
The 1994 comedy-drama Forrest Gump is based on the 1986 novel of the same name. The film featured Tom Hanks in the titular role and it won several Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects, and Best Film Editing.
Aamir Khan’s last movie Thugs Of Hindostan, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, was a flop in the box office. The film is due to release during Christmas 2020.
