Hyderabad, Sep 25 : Well-known Telugu film comedian Venu Madhav passed away while undergoing treatment at a city hospital on Wednesday.
He was 39 and is survived by wife and two sons. The comedian, who was suffering from kidney ailments, was admitted to Yashoda hospital in Secunderabad on September 6. His condition turned critical on Tuesday and he was declared dead by the doctors this afternoon.
Venu Madhav, who started his career as a mimicry artiste, had acted in 600 films and some of which were blockbusters. Born in Kodad of Suryapet district, he has not been active of late due to health related issues.
However, in December last, he evinced interest in contesting the Assembly election and even filed nomination papers from Kodad assembly constituency. Many prominent people including TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy expressed their condolences over the passing away of Venu Madhav.
They said his death created a void in film industry which was hard to fill. (UNI)
