In Raajkumar Shaandilyaa’s movie Dream Girl, Ayushmann Khuranna works at a call centre and puts on a girl’s voice and soon has innumerable admirers. The best joke in the movie is that the hero is also its heroine!
Ayushmann Khuranna who plays Karam from Mathura has an innate ability to change his voice to a girl’s. He is the local favourite to play all the female roles for this ability in many mythological plays. When he lands a job at a call centre, there too he impersonates a woman and runs a ‘friendship service’. Soon Karam/Pooja with her silken voice is a favourite with many and this causes many hilarious twists in the tale.
Annu Kapoor as Karam’s father and Nushrat Bharucha as a love interest are also in the cast.
Ayushmann Khurrana has done several noteworthy roles as in Vicky Donor, Andhadhun, Article 15, Badhai Ho and several others. In Dream Girl too he carries the movie with his acting prowess and fine comedy. He himself has said, I don’t need to do lots of films, I need to do good films.’ That mantra seems to be working well for Ayushmann who has delivered many hit movies of late.
Dream Girl released on September 13 has already collected Rs 44.57 Cr in 3 days. The movie, a family entertainer, has been produced by Ekta Kapoor, Sobha Kapoor and Aashish Singh.
