Bollywood actor, Rishi Kapoor who has been away from Mumbai for nearly a year while undergoing medical treatment in New York, has returned to Mumbai on Monday night. He was accompanied by his wife Neetu Kapoor nee Singh.
Rishi was diagnosed with cancer last September and had flown to Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York for treatment. After 11 months of treatment and rest, Rishi has returned home to Mumbai. He looked well and said he was relieved and happy to be home. He looked trimmer and has lost around 10-12 kilograms.
News of his illness was received with concern by his family and fans. Many of his Bollywood friends had visited Rishi while he was in New York. Neetu had tweeted pictures of the visitors with Rishi quite frequently. Son Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anupam Kher, Sonali and Goldie Behl, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were amongst those who stepped by to cheer the patient.
Both Rishi Kapoor and Neetu looked ecstatic as they arrived in Mumbai and waved to their family and friends.
