Pennews

The hugely watched Colors Bigg Boss reality show is to start its 13th edition with Super star Salman Khan once again hosting it. Salman has been the most popular and successful host of the show. This will be the sixth time that he will host it. It has been reported that he is being paid a huge fee for it. And why not, he holds the show together and drives its success story.

This time round the news is that only celebrities will play in the in house game as it first used to be. Subsequently the producers experimented by bringing in the general public but that didn’t go off as well. So, now they have reverted to gathering celebrities for the new edition.

It is said that this one will be fast paced and racy; it will be spicier and appear in an altogether new format. This grand show is something that all Salman Khan’s fans will keenly await. The first two promos are out, but they are intriguing and do not give away much.

It might be recalled that the show started in2006 on Sony Entertainment TV with Arshad Warsi as host. The prize money then was Rs Cr.1. By 2018 the show had become so huge as it spread its tentacles to 7 Indian languages.

After Warsi, Shilpa Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt were called in to host the shows but they were not that successful too. It was only when Salman Khan hosted the show that it got a leg up. That season the winner was TV actor Shweta Tiwari. Since then, there has been no looking back and now into the 13th edition, the show has grown to be one of the most popular reality shows on television today.

Who the celebrities will be is being curiously watched. Many probable lists have come out. But the producers are not letting anything out- they want the curiosity of the audience to build up.

The show will begin on 29th September and the winner will be declared on 12th January, 2020.

With this show Salman Khan’s fee has been hiked to Rs Cr. 400 @ Rs.31Cr. per week. For his last edition it is understood that he had been given Rs.12-14 Cr.

Bigg Boss-12 was won by Dipika Kakar and former cricketer S. Sreesanth finished Runner-Up. Who will be the lucky ones this time,we will wait and watch.
