Saaho had a spectacular opening in theatres across the world with an earning of Rs.68 Crore in the very first day. According to the Box office pundits, Saaho has beaten the record of Avengers Endgame (Rs 53 crore) as well as Thugs of Hindostan (Rs 52 crore).
The film which was made on a staggering budget of Rs. 350 Crore starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor was shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The major attraction of the film was Baahubali fame Prabhas who is a blue-eyed boy of teenage movie buffs. Prabhas became an international sensation after the Baahubali franchise. Baahubali: The Beginning made Rs 650 crore worldwide, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion made Rs 1796.56 crore.
Saaho is Prabhas’ first film after the Baahubali. Though the film has grossed Rs 104.8 crore, the nett figure is of around Rs 68.1 crore.
Saaho, features Chunky Panday, Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mandira Bedi in important roles. Directed by Sujeeth and produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy, the film tells the story of an eminent power struggle between deadly gangs in the fictional city of Waaji, after an important leader dies.
In Saaho, Prabhas plays an undercover police officer who is out to investigate a robbery of Rs 2000 crore in Mumbai. He fights criminals like a pro and with Hollywood’s action director Kenny Bates directing the action sequences, Saaho promises to be an extravagant spectacle for moviegoers. Shraddha plays Amrita Nair, a crime branch officer and Prabhas’ love interest in the movie.
Saaho has received mixed reactions from the audience.
