The Walt Disney Company’s superhero film ‘Avengers: Endgame’ has finally surpassed the record set by James Cameron’s Avatar on account of collection.According to Disney, Marvel’s blockbuster hit Avengers: Endgame reportedly has now become the all-time highest-grossing film in history. The Marvel Studios sequel, Avengers: Endgame, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, earned over £2.3bn ($2.9bn) in revenue by Sunday, since being released in April.
The 2009 film Avatar enjoyed the position of the highest-grossing film for ten years. Avatar has earned $2.79 billion in the box office across the world. Alan Horn, co-chairman and chief creative officer of the Walt Disney Studios, said: “A huge congratulations to the Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios teams, and thank you to the fans around the world who lifted Avengers: Endgame to these historic heights.
