Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer 'Kabir Singh' trailer has drawn millions of views after its launch on Monday.
Kabir Singh, played by Shahid Kapoor, is an ultimate rebel, but with a cause. Kabir Singh is everything- a college boy, alcoholic surgeon whose lifestyle involves smoking, abusing and short temper. The movie is going to hit theatres on June 21.
"Kabir Singh is a relatable film because for the one's who haven't felt that anger and pain would know the what it leads to but the one's who have been there, it would be therapeutic. We hope and pray that the way people loved Arjun Reddy, people will love #KabirSingh too. I would rate #KabirSingh very high in terms of difficulty. Kabir Singh is not bollywoodised, we have kept the core emotion same, ofcourse the region has changed. It's not a dark film, but a character driven film. It's very important for people to understand Kabir Singh and the headspace of the character," said Shahid Kapoor at the trailer launch.
The movie is a Hindi remake of Telugu hit film 'Arjun Reddyy'. The story is based on Arjun Singh, a successful young medical surgeon, who sets out on the path of self-destruction when his lady love is forced to marry another man.
The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga (who also helmed the original) and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde of Cine1 Studios.
