Lucifer’s 100 crore entry controversy continues

Agency News

As per latest updates the Mohanlal- Prithviraj collaboration Lucifer has collected Rs 78 Cr at the end of day 6. Lucifer is doing well at the box office even after 6 days of its release. All centres worldwide have been witnessing almost 90 per cent attendance. Reviews have been good and word of mouth reports have been positive. But unfortunately several top media houses published pumped up figures saying that Lucifer had collected more than 100 Cr. from theatres alone. The news seems impossible as at the end of fifth day the collection was Rs 62 Cr. This news reported by Malayala Manorama and Mathrubhumi went viral and was severely criticized.

The bolstered figure of Rs 100 Cr for a movie that is already doing so well has unnecessarily created a controversy. Social media lashed out in characteristic style and soon Mathrubhumi News took down this news from their online portal.

It must be pointed out here that neither the director Prithviraj nor the hero of the movie Mohanlal had confirmed the entry of Lucifer in the 100 Cr club.
