Recently when Karan Johar was asked whether he would be comfortable directing a movie with Kangana Ranaut, he was quick to reply that Kangana was ‘one of the best actresses we have’ in the industry. Kangana has been courting controversy on several fronts with her comments and opinions on a number of occasions. She made comments about Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and about ‘nepotism’ ruling roost in Bollywood. Bold in her comments she is outspoken and manages to ruffle feathers along the way.
It looks like Karan Johar has decided to let the past go and move on. He has made it clear that if the role demands it he has no qualms directing Kangana.
Karan is basking in the glory of the success of his movies Kesari and Kalank. His next movie is Takht to be released later in the year.
Kangana has been a great on screen success. After Queen she had a huge hit in Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi. Currently she has bagged 3 movies- Mental Hai Kya, Panga and Thalaivi. The last is a biopic on the late Jayalalithaa and it is believed that Kangana is charging Rs 22 Crores for that- the highest to be paid to any actress in India to date.
