Simbu wants a strong comeback through ‘Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven’. So the trailer included all hot ingredients for a successful film such as songs, punch dialogues, fun and dance. The trailer also features Ramya Krishnan, Prabhu and Nasser.

‘Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven’ is a remake of the 2013-Telugu flick Attarintiki Daredi which had Pawan Kalyan in the lead role. Directed by Sundar C and bankrolled by A Subhashkaran’s Lyca Productions, the movie has Simbu, Catherine Tresa and Megha Akash in the lead roles. The film also stars actors Prabhu, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser, VTV Ganesh, ‘Motta’ Rajendran, Robo Shankar, and Yogi Babu. The teaser of this flick was released in December 2018 and was well received by fans. This has created a big hype for its release.

Simbu was recently caught up in controversy over a request he had made to fans doing paal abhishekams ahead of the film's release. As the incident create much upheaval, Simbu came up with new statement that he never wanted his fans to pour milk over his cutouts.

Simbu’s last full-fledged movie ‘Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan’(2017) was a damp squib in the box office. After a series of controversies, Simbu is struggling to come back to the limelight. In 2018 he had not done any hero-centric film. While he made only a cameo role in Jyothika’s ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’(2018), he was just one among the four heroes in the multi-starrer Maniratnam’s ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’(2018). In 2019, Simbu once again comes as a hero in ‘Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven’.

The movie, which was initially planned to hit the screens for Pongal, will now release worldwide on February 1.
