Kamal Haasan’s last film ‘Indian 2’ goes on floors; Kamal returns as Senapathy

Pennews

Kamal Haasan’s last film ‘Indian 2’ goes on floors on Friday.

Makers of Indian 2, touted as last movie of superstar Kamal Hassan, commenced the shooting jobs with pooja in which director S Sharkar and superstar Kamal Hassan attended. With this fans and critics can once again watch the older, wiser and deadlier' character Senapathy.

After the announcement of the movie in November, the work of the movie was in a mess. The movie, as a sequel to Shankar’s Indian, was officially announced via a video on Haasan’s 64th birthday last November. But after that nothing happened on the production side.

As a shot in the arm to the Kamal fans, now the principal photography shooting of Indian 2 will commence from January 18 in Hyderabad.

Makers of the movie, Lyca Productions, share the news on its Twitter handle as: Happy #Indian2 Day! Official #Pooja Still! #PositiveVibes

Still, except Kamal Hassan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role no other actors were roped in till now. Once again rumour mill is working overnight to release the cast and crew of Indian 2. It is learnt that Siddharth will land in a pivotal role. Kajal Aggarwal’s name was heard earlier as the leading lady. At the pre-release event of her Telugu film Kavacham last month, Kajal made it official and went on record to say that her next film will be with Kamal Haasan.

After the dismal performance of Vishwaroopam 2, actor-filmmaker-politician Kamal Haasan has already announced a break in politics and will jump into the works of Indian 2. The movie, bankrolled by Lyca Productions, will be a big budget movie.

The film will be predominantly shot in places like Taiwan and Ukraine, apart from Chennai and Hyderabad. In preparation for his role, Kamal has been closely working with a team of international trainers to shed weight in the highly anticipated sequel to the 1992 lockbuster Indian, which featured Haasan in dual roles as an octagenarian father and son.
