KGF collection crosses Rs.200 Cr; mines gold in Pakistan

Yash’s KGF has crossed Rs. 200 Cr mark worldwide, according to the statistics given by trade pundits.

KGF also made another record as the first Kannada film to release in Pakistan. It is learnt that the film is mining gold in Pakistan. The film chronicles the life of Rocky, a gangster who captures Kolar Gold Fields [KGF].Critics say KGF sways Pakistan hearts and running strong in Pakistan. It is to be noted that KGF is the first Kannada movie done in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil.

The film, Prashanth Neel’s directorial, which released on December 21 has become the fourth highest earning movie in South Indian cinema. It continued its good run despite competition from big budget movies such as Ranveer Singh’s Simbaa and Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero.

KGF is still behind SS Rajmouli’s Baahubali and Shankar’s 2.0. However action drama is expected to continue doing well as it has been accepted by the audience and positive news is spreading by word of mouth. Besides, there are no big releases next week.
