Rajini’s Petta crosses Rs.100 Cr in three days

Tamil fans across the world received Vintage Rajinikanth, presented in ‘Petta’ by director Karthi Subbaraj, well.

With a good momentum both inside Tamil Nadu and abroad, Petta found a place in Rs.100 Crore club in revenue within three days of its release. The revenue includes the collections both inside India and abroad. Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan twetted the landmark achievement of ‘Petta’.

Fans of Thalaivar are over the moon as his latest release Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, brought back the Rajinikanth they were longing to see onscreen.

Though the film has been receiving mixed reviews from a section of people, but the box office game of Petta is quite strong.

The movie is having a dream run at the box office in Chennai. In three days, the film has garnered Rs 3.49 crore at the box office in Chennai. Superstar Rajinikanth has been ruling the box office in foreign countries for the past several years.

This year it is no different. Petta is leading over Ajith’s Viswasam by a huge margin in the US. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala reveals that the movie has collected over Rs 10.7 crore in the country and is still going strong.

Petta, produced by Sun Pictures, boasts a stellar cast including Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Trisha, Simran, Megha Akash, Malavika Mohanlal, Bobby Simhaa, Sasikumar and Sananth in significant roles.
