Bollywood gives thumbs up to ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’

New Delhi, Jan 11: Bollywood fraternities on Friday congratulated actor Anupam Kher and lauded his work in the film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, where he plays the role of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh.

The Vijay Ratnakar Gutte directorial received praises from the B-town, saying Anupam Kher has done full justice to the character. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta said,”Dear @AnupamPKher. Sir, it was a privilege being with you as you walked the tight rope between caricature and character while playing Dr Manmohan Singh in #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister. Thank you sir. The audience will watch and judge our efforts today. Best wishes and love.”

Anil Kapoor said, “Just like every role you do, @AnupamPKher you have done full justice to this character as well. You're such a great story teller! This definitely was a difficult film and could only be done by an actor par excellence. You are impeccable! #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister”.

‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ is a biographical film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari, based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru.

It stars Anupam Kher as Dr Manmohan Singh, the economist and politician, who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the UPA.The movie released on Jan 11.UNI
