The shooting schedule of 'NGK', known for Selvaraghavan-Surya combo, has restarted again at Kochi and Chennai.
Due to director Selvaraghavan's illness, the shooting of the project had been stopped for around half a month and the film missed a Deepavali release.
Dream Warrior Pictures, who bank roll the project, announced about the restart of shooting this week. This time, a 15-day schedule was planned at two metros- Chennai and Kochi. The major attraction of the Nandha Gopala Krishnan, shortly called ‘NGK’, is said to be Surya's different character which resembles Cuban revolutionist Che Guevara.
Back to pink, Selvaraghavan is now more energetic. Surya, after finished off his work ‘Thanna Shertha Kootam’, is much more relaxed. For, actor Surya, NGK, a political thriller, is his next after 'Thaana Serntha Kootam'.
Originally, NGK was planned to hit theatre to locking horn with Vijay's ‘Sarkar’ during Deepavali. Apart from Selvaraghavan's health issue, actor Surya also had to spend few days for some initial preparation for his next movie with KV Anand in which Surya plays a totally different character. Once the shooting stopped, rumour mills worked overtime to churn out stories of a misunderstanding between Surya and Selvaraghavan as the reason for the delay in shooting. Producer SR Prabhu has already rejected this rumour as utter rubbishness.
Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi play lead roles in the movie. Though some sources said that NGK will be a copy cat of Selvaraghavan's once shelved project 'Kaan', those close to the movie production readily rejects this allegation. They told NGK is a totally fresh story and treatment.
