After a short break, Nithya Menen is revisiting Malayalam and this time along with her favourite director TK Rajeev Kumar.
Shooting of ‘Kolambi’ is progressing in Kerala. The film is art-related and Kochi-Muziris Biennale also figure in the film. This is the second outing for Nithya Menen-Rajiv Kumar duo. Earlier, the two had seen in Thalsamayam Oru Pennkutty. Her last Malayalam movie was ‘100 days of love’, a romantic flick opposite Dulquer Salman released in 2015.
In Kolambi, Nithya Menen comes as a Biennale artist, a painter. The theme of the movie has a potential to vibe with international audience. Kolambi has some of the best technicians on-board including the Oscar winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty. Roopesh Omana is producing the film under the banner of Nirmalyam Cinema. Ravi Varman is cranking the camera and Sabu Cyril is in charge of the production design.
Bigg Boss fame, Aristo Suresh, who was offered a role in the film during the finale of Bigg Boss, will also come in a meaty role. Meanwhile, Nithya is currently waiting for the release of her much-acclaimed multi-lingual film ‘Praana’ helmed by VK Prakash.
