MeToo fallout: Akshay cancels ‘Housefull 4’ shoot

New Delhi, Oct 12: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar on Friday announced that he has requested the producers of ‘Housefull 4’ to cancel the shoot, following sexual harassment allegations against film’s director Sajid Khan.

Akshay Kumar, who just returned to India from Italy, has cancelled the shoot of ‘Housefull 4’, which was slated to take place in Mumbai.

'I’ve requested the producers of ‘Housefull 4’ to cancel the shoot until further investigation.This is something that requires stringent action,' Akshay said in a tweet.

He also said that he will not work with any proven offenders and all those who have been subjugated to harassment should be heard and given the justice they deserve.

'Housefull 4' is an upcoming comedy film directed by Sajid Khan, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda, Kriti Sanon, Chunky Pandey, Nana Patekar, Boman Irani, Johnny Lever. (UNI)
