Ness Wadia apologises, Preity Zinta withdraws, Bombay High Court quashes the case

Preity Zinta gave her consent to dismiss the case against her former boyfriend and entrepreneur Ness Wadia, after he apologised to her. Following which, the Bombay High Court quashed the molestation case on Wednesday which was filed by actress Preity Zinta against industrialist Ness Wadia.

On June 13, 2014, Preity filed a complaint against her ex-boyfriend and co-owner of the Kings XI Punjab IPL (Indian Premier League) team alleging that he molested, abused and threatened her during an IPL match.

The Mumbai Police filed a charge sheet in the case in February this year, four years after the incident took place.

According to Preity's complaint, the incident took place on May 30, 2014, during a Kings XI Punjab vs Chennai Super Kings match. Ness was allegedly abusing the team staff over ticket distribution when Preity was seated in the Garware Pavilion. When she asked him to calm down, he abused and manhandled her by grabbing her arm, she claimed.

Even though she changed her seat, Ness continued to verbally abuse her. He also allegedly abused her on the ground in front of their team members.
