Deepika bags ‘Creative Personality’ award for ‘Padmaavat’

New Delhi, Sep 30: The glory of the year's magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ is yet to settle down and Deepika is still picking up awards in the name of the movie. The latest honour for Bollywood's leading lady was the prestigious 'Creative Personality of the Year Award' for her remarkable performance in the 'Padmaavat', at the 'GQ Men of the year' awards.

Receiving immense accolades and appreciation for her outstanding performance as the Rajputani Queen Padmavati, Deepika has mesmerised the audience with her flawless beauty and astounding performance. Hailing the astonishing performance of the actress, GQ India awarded Deepika Padukone with the honour.

The actress dressed to kill in a sheer white shirt with balloon sleeves and a black high waist leather pant, teamed with hair tied in a messy bun, dewy makeup and black pumps completing her look. The ever-stylish diva slayed the red carpet as she made heads turn at the awards night.

Earlier, the actress mesmerised the world with her bold and rocking style statement at MET Gala and Cannes apart from her international magazine covers like TINGS London. Deepika also featured in the TIMES 100 most influential list and also raised a toast for the same.

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy has inspired the whole world and that a mantra given by him remains extremely relevant today.

Speaking in the latest edition of his monthly radio programme 'Mann ki baat ', the PM said ,'' The 2nd of October, this year, has a special significance. For two years from now on, we are going to organise various programmes throughout the world on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy has inspired the whole world. Everyone including great personalities like Dr. Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela derived strength from Gandhiji’s ideology to be able to fight a long battle to ensure right of equality and dignity for the people.''UNI
