Hyderabad, Sep 15: National & International award winning Director, Padma Shri Shaji N Karun will inaugurate the three-day workshop on National Science Flim making, at MANUU campus on September 17.
Instructional Media Centre (IMC) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India is organising the workshop.
According to Mr Rizwan Ahmd, Director, IMC the aim of the workshop is to sensitise young students /professionals with Science Film-making aesthetics and techniques and to build the capacity of students in producing and promoting independent Science Films.
Giving an insight on the idea of Science Filmmaking, he said that the workshop provides an opportunity to Mass Communication & Journalism students and professionals who are interested in Science Filmmaking.
Kuldeep Sinha, former DG, Film Division and Dr C M Nautiyal, Consultant Science Communication Programme will guide the students during workshop, whereas National Award winning Filmmakers Arun Chadha and Makrand Brahme will explain the techniques of filmmaking.
Other academician from FTII, Pune and RAFT, Hyderabad will also be taking sessions on art of filmmaking for the Science, Mr Rizwan added. (UNI)
