‘Lakshmi’: Prabhu Deva’s film is ready

Famous dance choreographer and actor Prabhu Deva's dance-based family film ‘Lakshmi’ is ready for an August 24 release. The film got the clearance from Tamil Film Producers’ Council's regulation committee.

Directed by Vijay, the film revolves around a strict dance master and his little student. The film is about a girl who is passionate about dance while her mother compels her to concentrate on academics. Prabhu Deva plays the lead role as a dance master while Aishwarya Rajesh plays the role of mother and Ditya as the young girl student.

Kovai Sarala comes to tickle the audiences' funny bones as the principal of the school which supports the girl's passion to become a dancer. The song 'Morrakka' from 'Lakshmi' which was released on June 27 already has gone viral by garnering 44 lakh views on YouTube. The song Morrakka features Lakshmi's passion for dance, her talent and how she is scared of her mother. Afterwards, all the other songs launched on YouTube were also received well.

The film is produced by Prateek Chakravorty, Shruti Nallappa and R. Ravindran under the banners Pramod Films and Trident Arts. (UNI)
