Continuing its strong run in China, the Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has crossed earnings of Rs 100 crore in China in its opening week, trade sources said on Friday.
The trade sources said the film, which released in China on March 2, has earned 18.01 million dollars (Rs 117 crore) in its opening week in China.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan opened across 8,000 screens on March 2 in China. But Bajrangi Bhaijaan could not compete with Aamir Khan's block busters. While Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar crossed Rs. 200 crore mark in collection, his ‘Dangal’ had collected over Rs.2,000 crore in China alone.
While the position of Bajrangi Bhaijaan was on the 7th position on the releasing day, Friday, it moved to the fourth position on Monday.
The film’s success in China follows that of Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’, ‘PK’, ‘Dangal’ and ‘Secret Superstar’.
