New Delhi, May 22: Charging exorbitant fees from parents in private schools should be regulated, said Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday.
Mr Javadekar told Central Board of Secondary Education to prepare guidelines for private schools to keep a tab so that the schools do not charge higher fees. Schools should disclose all information to parents.
He also suggested that schools should not force parents to buy clothes, books, stationary from only one shop which they have selected.
"Also, salary of teachers should be credited in their accounts," he added.
Mr Javadekar today on the occasion of Gun Gaurav Samman felicitated 70 students for their outstanding performances in CBSE results. (UNI)
