Bengaluru, Sept 19: Dr Rajendra Prasad was appointed as University of Agriculture Sciences, Bengaluru, new Vice Chancellor for a term of four year by Governor Vajubhai Vala, who is also the Chancellor of the University.
Dr Prasad, who is currently working as Dean (Agri) in GKVK Agriculture College, has been elevated as Vice Chancellor. Native of Annur Vilalge in Mandya District of Karnataka, Dr Prasad has credit of presenting more than 295 Scientific papers. An expert in seed production, Dr Prasad has been awarded fellowship and he was trained in Thailand, Philiphines and Netherlands.
He has won more than 8 National and State awards. He was Chief Researchers for more than 18 projects. (UNI)
