Mumbai, May 18 :The Rupee on Monday slipped by 35 paise to close negative at 75.91 against the US Dollar on rising demand for US dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex Market said.
The local unit which ended steady at 75.56 on Friday, opened weak at 75.86 on Monday, down by 30 paise. Till the end of the session, it further lost by 35 paise to close at 75.91, as compared to its last close. The domestic unit registered intra-days high and low at 75.95 and 75.52respectively. The Indian currency slid today on a strong Dollar against other world currencies amid a sliding equity market, they added. (UNI)
