Mumbai, May 15 : The BSE Sensex on Friday fell further by 213 pts at 30,909.36 on heavy selling in IT, Bankex, Auto and Consumer Discretionary Good and services stocks amid mixed global cues. The Nifty of national stock exchange too fell by 23.55 pts to 9119.20 and registered an intraday high and low at 9,182.40 and 9,082.85 pts, respectively.
The Sensex registered intraday high and low at 31, 296.28 and 30,909.36 pts respectively. The mid-cap was up by 0.13 pc and small-cap by 0.05 pc. The sectoral indices include IT, Bankex and Auto kept the market under pressure for another day today. The losers were M&M by 3.37 pc to Rs 386.75, HCL Technologies by 2.14 pc to Rs 505.70, Maruti Suzuki by 1.85 pc to Rs 5015.40, Hero Motocorp by 1.59 pc to Rs 2205.60 and Axis Bank by 1.33 pc to Rs 396.55. The gainers were Tata Steel by 1.79 pc to Rs 273.40, Bharti Airtel by 1.54 pc to Rs 547.95, ONGC by 1.51 pc to Rs 77.30, NTPC by 1.06 pc to Rs 90.30 and Nestle India by 0.78 pc to Rs 16,374.95. (UNI)
