Mumbai, Feb 12: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday advanced by 365.76 in early trade, as most of the stocks were trading in the green amid positive global cues.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too moved up by 95.30 points to open at 12,203.20.
The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 41,671.86 and 41,330.85 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded day intra day high and low at 12,231.75 and 12,144.30 points respectively. The sectoral indices like Materials, FMCG, Energy, Finance, IT and Telecom spurted in early trade.
The gainers were Hind Unilever by 4.74 pc to Rs 254.75, Kotak Bank by 2.02 pc to Rs 1711, Nestle India by 1.95 pc to Rs 16,306.25 and HDFC by 1.37 pc to Rs 2469.
The losers were IndusInd Bank by 0.79 pc to Rs 1282, L & t by 0.33 pc to Rs 1282.75, Sun Pharma by 0.27 pc to Rs 417.25 and IT by 0.26 pc to Rs 1267.65 (UNI)
