Mumbai, Jan 16 : The Rupee on Thursday slipped by ten paise at 70.93 against the US Dollar on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, the dealers at the Forex Market said. In opening trade the local unit rose marginally by one paisa to 70.80.
Though oscillation was seen during the day, it finally closed negative at 70.91, sliding by 10 paise as compared to its last close. The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 70.98 and 70.75 respectively. The Rupee declined on strong Dollar against other world currencies in spite of positive equity market, they added. (UNI)
