Sensex rises 60.81 pts

Mumbai, Dec 4: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Sensex on Wednesday appreciated 60.81 points to 40,736.26 in opening trade, as fresh buying was seen in power, realty, technology, auto, bankex and healthcare stocks.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 25 points to 11,969.95. The Sensex declined 69 points to 40,606.01, and immediately went up. The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 40,790.12 and 40,544.82 points respectively. The Nifty recorded day intra-day high and low at 12,026.50 and 11,951.55 points respectively.

The gainers were Tata Motors by 5.41 pc to Rs 166.70, Yes Bank by 3.78 pc to Rs 61.75, Tata Motors DVR by 3.67 pc to Rs 69.20 and ICICI Bank by 2.64 pc to Rs 522.45. The losers were Tata Steel by 1.45 pc to Rs 393.65, L & t by 1.20 pc to Rs 1297.75, Reliance Industries by 1.04 pc to rs 1562.40 and Asian Paints by 0.67 pc to rs 1725.50. UNI
