Mumbai, Dec 3: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Sensex on Tuesday slipped by 112.15 points to 40,690.02 as selling was seen in Materials, Energy, Telecom, Bankex and Capital Goods stocks in line with global market sell-offs as investors panicked after the US decision to impose tariffs on Argentina and Brazil.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too eased by 48.50 points to 11,999.70. The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 40,885.03 and 40,682.99 points respectively. The Nifty recorded day intra day high and low at 12,068.60 and 11,996.15 points respectively.
The losers were Tata Steel by 3.52 per cent to Rs 406, Yes Bank by 3.28 per cent to Rs 61.95, Tata Motors DVR by 2.58 per cent to Rs 68.10 and VEDL by 2.25 per cent to Rs 141.40. The gainers were Bajaj Auto by 1.83 per cent to Rs 3218, TCS by 1.23 per cent to Rs 2045.80, Maruti Suzuki by 0.78 per cent to Rs 7193.25 and HeroMoto corp by 0.73 per cent to Rs 2424.40. (UNI)
