Mumbai, Nov 28: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday opened at a new high at 41,161.54 surging by 141 points as brisk buying in Energy, FMCG, Finance, IT, Bankex, Industrials and Telecom stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too moved up by 32 points to 12,132.10. The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 41,163.79 and 41,022.81 points respectively. The Nifty recorded day intraday high and low at 12,138.30 and 12,099.95 points respectively.
The gainers were ICICI Bank by 1.84 pc to Rs 514.95, Tata Steel by 1.47 pc to Rs 427.55, TCS by 1.32 pc to Rs 2080.60 and Bharti Airtel by 1.21 pc to Rs 438.75.
The losers were Tata Motors DVR by 1.89 pc to Rs 72.75, HDFC by 1 pc to rs 2313, VEDL by 0.95 pc to Rs 145.55 and Tata Motors by 0.90 pc to Rs 16425. UNI
