Mumbai, Nov 27 : The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday recovered by 141.34 points to 40,962.64 as fresh buying in Materials, Energy, FMCG, Finance, IT, Bankex, Industrials and Telecom stocks pushed the sensex up.
Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too moved up by 42.70 points to 12,080.40.
The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 41,075.76 and 40,924.49 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded day intra day high and low at 12,108.50 and 12,065.10 points respectively.
The sectoral indices like Energy, FMCG, Finance, IT, Bankex, Industrials and Telecom kept the market up in early trade.
The gainers were Yes Bank by 5.60 pc to Rs 66.95, M & M by 2.04 pc to Rs 549.60, Tata Motors by 1.65 pc to Rs 166.50, Tata Motors DVR by 1.62 pc to Rs 75.15 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.50 pc to rs 7234.60.
The losers were L & T by 2.02 pc to Rs 1335.35, ICICI Bank by 1.09 pc to Rs 505.55 and Tata Steel by 0.70 pc to Rs 421.50. (UNI)
