Mumbai, Nov 14: The Rupee on Thursday gained by 12 paise to 71.97 on the fresh selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
Tumbling down by 63 paise to 72.09, the domestic unit rose marginally by two paise to 72.07 in the opening trade. Finally, it closed at 71.97, up by 12 paise, as compared to its last close. The local unit recorded day high and low at 72.25 and 71.85, respectively.
The Indian currency rallied, owing to weak Dollar against other world currencies, along with rebounding the equity market, the dealer added. (UNI)
