Mumbai, Nov 7: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday opened at new high at 40,625.64, advancing by 156 points in early trade on renewed buying in Realty, Energy, FMCG, Finance, Telecom, Auto and Consumer Durable reacting positively to the Rs 25,000 crore booster dose to the real estate sector.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday announced Rs 25,000 crore to the real estate, also boosted the sentiments of the investors. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 20.25 points to 11,986.30.
The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 40,676.44 and 40,476.12 points respectively. The Nifty recorded day intra day high and low at 12,021.40 and 11,960.75 points respectively. The sectoral indices like Realty, Energy, FMCG, Finance, Telecom, Auto and Consumer Durable kept the market strong today. The gainers were IndusInd Bank by 2.44 per cent to Rs 1375, ITC by 1.34 per cent to Rs 264.75, Reliance Industries by 1.32 per cent to Rs 1451.05, HDFC by1.16 per cent to Rs 2246.05 and SBI by 0.69 per cent to Rs 319.75.
The losers were Tata Steel by 3.59 per cent to Rs 389.85, Tata Motors by 3.04 per cent to Rs 169.05, Tata Motors DV by 2.92 per cent to Rs 78 and ONGC by 1.73 per cent to Rs 142.30. UNI
